Frankfurt Airport

Before an aircraft can take off, it must be cleared of snow and ice to ensure clean aerodynamic surfaces and thus safe flight characteristics. A mixture of de-icing agent and water is used for de-icing. During winter precipitation, a protective layer (anti-icing) is then applied to prevent ice and snow from adhering again. Here our frequency inverters with Profibus card are used to convey the de-icing fluid by means of pumps.
Another area of application is the air conditioning and smoke extraction of the airport buildings.
